An excellent few days which has given me a feeling of wealth even if it was only an illusion.
Our company was the host organiser for an international Internet conference in Dublin that took place on Monday and Tuesday. I flew out on Sunday and got back Wednesday evening so I was there for three nights.
There were 210 delegates from around the world and the venue was the Round Room adjacent to the Mansion House which I understand was the location to the Republic of Ireland's first parliament.

For the lunches we visited the restaurant, Fire, and the food was excellent. It gives you an idea on the money being spent (by sponsors) that when I looked at the restaurant prices on their menu the meal was costing in the region of US$100 per head...for 210 people!

The gala dinner we had on Monday night was fabulous too and was held at Trinity College.
Here is some of the pics of around those buildings where we held the event.
Even before the event started we had a great social at Café En Seine with nibbles and free bar. It features on the website World's Best Bars too.
The hotel we stayed at was great too which, with breakfast, came to the equivalent of US$300 per night.

What was great was that Jo managed to get out to Dublin for the last night and we went out for a meal. It's our ninth wedding anniversary today so I'm thankful to my employer that effectively paid for a break for us.
The only time I had to put my hand in my pocket was for what was in effect our anniversary meal and that was at Milano's.
